# 3D Print

**3D Print** turns the 3D models of your collection into physical objects: museum replicas for exhibitions and loans, tactile reproductions with Braille labels for blind and visually impaired visitors, and series for the bookshop. You describe what you need; certified workshops of the AerariumChain network send competing quotes; you choose, pay and follow production and shipping from the Hub.

Your 3D files never leave AerariumChain. Workshops quote on an image and on the measurements the Hub computes; only the workshop you choose receives a print-ready file, prepared by AerariumChain, unique to your order and traceable.

## Installing the app from the Store

1. Open **Store** in the left sidebar of the Hub and select the **3D Print** card.
2. Read the notice and choose **Install**.
3. **3D Print** takes its place in the sidebar. Open it whenever you need it; it works inside the Hub, on the institution selected at the top.

Ordering requires an institution (not the Personal Account) and the right to act for it: institution administrators have it, and they can grant it to other members through the **3D Print** permission in team roles.

## Billing details

Before accepting a quote, complete **Billing details** once for the institution: legal name, country, VAT number or tax code, registered address and a default shipping address. Italian public bodies tick **Public body** and add the office code (codice univoco ufficio): invoices follow split payment and orders can go through Acquisti in Rete PA (MePA).

The country decides the seller of record: institutions in the United States buy from **AerariumChain Corp.** in US dollars; everyone else buys from **WEREA S.r.l.** in euro.

## A new request

Choose **New request**. Four steps:

1. **Model**: pick a 3D model from the institution's collection.
2. **Type**: **Museum replica**, **Tactile reproduction** or **Gadget & shop**.
3. **Configure**: quantity, scale, material, finish (as printed or sanded), an optional clear protective coating, Braille label and mounting base for tactile pieces, notes for the workshop. Confirm the dimensions of the original: the Hub measures them from the model and from the catalog record.
4. **Review**: check and submit.

### Why colouring is not included

Prices exclude colouring and patina. Colouring is done by hand, and moving from the digital model to manual work can introduce differences in tone and colour: it belongs with an expert restorer, working together with your curator. Prints arrive as printed or sanded, ready for that work. If you also need colouring, say so in the notes: we will put you in touch with the nearest restoration studio.

## Comparing quotes

The request goes to the certified workshops whose machines and materials fit it. Each quote shows the price excluding VAT, the lead time and its validity; workshops appear as **Offer A**, **Offer B** and so on, because the seller responsible for the order is WEREA S.r.l. (or AerariumChain Corp.). You receive an email at every new quote.

## Accepting and paying

Choose **Accept** on the offer you prefer. Select the payment method, check the shipping address, read the terms of sale and accept them with the name and role of the signer.

- **Credit card**: you pay at once, and production starts on payment.
- **Bank transfer**: you receive an order document with the bank details and the order code to quote.
- **Acquisti in Rete PA (MePA)**: for Italian public bodies; add the MePA order number and the CIG. Production starts once AerariumChain confirms the order.

## Following the order

**Orders** shows every order with its payment and production status. In the order you find the progress of production, the history, the amounts with the applicable tax regime and the **Order document**. When the parcel leaves, the carrier and tracking code appear: choose **Confirm receipt** when it arrives.

## Protecting your models

- Workshops never download your models: not even a preview while they quote.
- The file the chosen workshop receives is prepared by AerariumChain for that order only: scaled, placed for printing and marked so that the file, and even a printed copy, can be traced back to the order.
- Workshops are bound by a framework agreement with WEREA S.r.l.: confidentiality, no reuse, deletion of the file after delivery, and penalties for any copy beyond the order.
